The fourth edition of the National Open Science Festival will take place on 22 October 2024 at Maastricht University. Reserve the date in your calendar!
Open Science NL is particularly pleased that the Open Science Community Maastricht and the University Library Maastricht have offered to act as host of the National Open Science Festival.
Hosts of previous editions were Wageningen University (2021, online), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2022) and Erasmus University (2023). The first editions were organised by the National Open Science Programme. Since its start, Open Science NL has taken over the organisation and provided an annual budget for the festival.
However, the National Open Science Festival is and will remain a festival for and by the community. The organising committee of the 2024 edition therefore consists of staff from Maastricht University (Dennie Hebels and Mariëlle Prevoo), DANS (Samantha Willemsen), LCRDM (Margriet Miedema) and Open Science NL (Jeroen Scharroo). In addition, a programme committee reflecting the broad community is currently being formed.
